Taverns want nearly R700m from the government to mitigate ban on alcohol sales

newsBL Premium reports that the National Liquor Traders Council (NLTC) has called on the government to grant each of country’s 34,500 taverns a once-off payment of R20,000 to mitigate the effect of the ban on alcohol sales.  This would cost the state R690m.
