Ramatlhodi tells Glencore to shut Optimum coal mine over job cuts

glencoreReuters reports that Mineral Resources Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi told mining giant Glencore on Tuesday to shut the Optimum coal mine because of the way it planned to carry out job cuts, while the company said its operations were unsustainable because Eskom did not pay fair prices.
