Gross earnings up by R15.5bn in third quarter, reflecting above-inflation wage settlements

earningsBDLive reports that Statistics SA’s Quarterly Employment Survey for the third quarter showed that above-inflation wage settlements supported employee earnings.  Gross earnings amounted to R495bn in the third quarter, representing a R15.5bn rise, or 3.2%, compared to the second quarter.
