Netwerk24 writes that Marius Croucamp, deputy general secretary of trade union Solidarity, says that the fact that the government does not give preference to local steel producers for big infrastructure projects is one of the reasons why Evraz Highveld is on the brink of bankruptcy and the rest of the sector is also struggling.
