Reprieve for Zimbabwean Exemption Permit holders facing threat of deportation and loss of jobs

Zimbabwe flagMoneyweb reports that hundreds of thousands of Zimbabweans in SA under so-called Zimbabwean Exemption Permits (ZEPs) were granted a reprieve on Monday when the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) unexpectedly withdrew a directive it issued last month requiring them to apply for what it had called “mainstream” visas.
